Declaration Of Ethics

We, the evaluators for the award program at Critics Choice Awards, do hereby declare that we are dedicated to upholding the ethics and standards stated in this declaration in order to ensure fairness to all applicants and to maintain the honor and integrity of applicants, evaluators, and awards.

We will not grant awards to, or in any other manner endorse or promote, any website that endorses, promotes, or contains content which is considered globally to be illegal or discriminatory.

We do not discriminate on grounds of race, gender, nation of origin, religion, profession, mental or physical handicap, or any other reason which is not globally viewed as an illegal trait or manner of conduct.

We do not divulge any information about any applicant to persons, groups, or agencies not directly connected to our award program. All information received from award applicants via email submissions or submission forms is deemed private.

We allow eligibility to all applicants who meet the posted criteria of any particular award. We are uniform in our eligibility requirements and fairly evaluate all websites meeting our criteria which are submitted by any applicant. We clearly post these criteria.

We evaluate websites under the criteria which was in place at the time of any application. If changes are made to the criteria after an application is received, a submitted website is evaluated using the criteria which was in effect when the applicant submitted the website.

We immediately inform any criteria compliant applicant in writing, of a 'Refrain to Evaluate' if it is found that a conflict of interest would occur in evaluating their website.

We complete a preliminary review of submissions within 24 hours of receipt and evaluate all submitted websites within two to three weeks of receipt of submission. If this deadline cannot be met, we will suspend submissions until we can again work within this timeframe.

We allow award winning websites to use a text only link in lieu of the award graphic offered. We will not accept favors of any sort in exchange for preferential treatment of submissions.

The evaluation process in use at Critics Choice Awards is copyrighted material and written authorization is required for the use of any element. This website is maintained to a standard that meets or exceeds the criteria of the awards given.

We will take all measures necessary to maintain the honor and integrity of our award program.

We will not accept an application from anyone under the age of 18. This program aligns its self with the guide lines set forth by COPPA.
